What expenses are eligible for earning Status and Rewards points?

The expenses that allow you to earn Status and Rewards points are those paid for by the member during an eligible stay:

  • Accommodation expenses for the member and for one other room in the same hotel and on the same date (in other words a maximum total of 2 rooms invoiced), provided that
        - the member stays in one of the said rooms and pays all expenditure for both rooms.
        - the other room is not occupied by another member.
    Please note that if the member booked two rooms, Status and Rewards points will be earned on the basis of these two rooms, but nights will be recorded only for the member's room.
  • Services in addition to accommodation, for example: mini bar, telephone, room service, pay television, meals taken by the member in the hotel's restaurant and drinks at the hotel bar
  • Expenses related to thalassotherapy or spa treatments at a Thalassa sea & spa center linked to the hotel, only if the member stays in the hotel.

Status and Rewards points are calculated on the total amount of expenses, excluding taxes, eligible for earning points.
The invoice must be paid at the hotel. Any rejection of payment will result, if applicable, in the cancellation of any Nights, Status points or Rewards points earned.

The following expenses are not eligible for earning Status and Rewards points:

  • Extras (even if they are paid to the hotel) during a stay that is not eligible for earning points
  • Taxes (in particular VAT), tips, taxi rides, transfers to or from the hotel, service charges and other applicable costs
  • Expenses
  • Expenses incurred within the context of organizing a company seminar, a banquet, or any other event, even if it is private, when paid entirely by the member (with the exception of the Meeting Planner offer)
  • All other expenses paid, such as the business center, shop purchases, spa products and services, hairdresser, beauty parlor and green fees for the golf course
  • Eligibility rules regarding certain types of expenditure, such as restaurant bills, bar bills, parking and laundry differ according to the infrastructure of the hotel
  • All costs and expenses that are not specifically listed as expenses eligible for earning points.

N.B.: Since 10/01/2018, AccorHotels no longer commercialises independent partner hotels via its websites and app. Stays at these independent hotels are consequently no longer eligible to take advantage of the loyalty programme benefits. All bookings made via AccorHotels.com prior to this date nonetheless remain confirmed at these hotels and remain eligible to earn both Status points and Rewards points. If you wish to amend or cancel one of these bookings, please contact the hotel in question directly. The hotel will process your request according to the Terms & Conditions of Sale for the rate at which the stay was booked.
